Dr Ashraf Grimwood

Dr Grimwood  a S.A. national, is a doctor with a Master’s in Public Health who brings over 24 years’ experience planning and managing care and treatment and system strengthening programs in S.A. For the past 15years, Dr Grimwood is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of KI with responsibilities focused overseeing implementation health and community programs providing programmatic organizational strategic direction, leadership and decision-making to all funded programs including those USG cooperative agreements, with a focus on operations, and customer satisfaction. Dr Grimwood started his HIV work in Australia during the late 80’s, and continued in South Africa from 1992. He has extensive HIV clinical experience with a community health focus in both the public and private sectors. Dr Grimwood was chair of NACOSA and previously served on the boards of Yabonga and Triangle projects. He is currently serving on the SA HIV Clinicians Society and Dira Sengwe boards and was deputy chair for the Centre for Conflict Resolution. He was previously Executive Director of ARK SA, Deputy Director of SAHIVAC as well as Director of the HIV Reseach Unit – Secure the Future.
